Game Day / Fancy Pants Designs

Hello Fancy Pants friends! Today I am sharing a super fun layout, documenting a special event.

Many of us have tickets from a show or game, we would love to document. So when my husband recently found these football tickets and photo, and asked me to create something that can be framed, I knew I needed to get creative.

First, I try tucking the tickets behind or placing them on either side of the photo....just wasn't working for me. After playing around with a few different ideas, I decided to incorporate some string art into my layout. With the beautiful wood buttons from Foundation Decor and some white embroidery floss, this process didn't take too long. I finished the layout off by adding a few die cut pieces from the Good OL' Days collections and really love how this page turnout!

I hope you like my layout today and it has inspired you to create your own.

Grateful / My Creative Scrapbook-February Tutorial

Hello My Creative Scrapbook Fans! Yvette here, and today, I'm going to show you how easy it is to make rolled paper flowers.

Grateful....

Step 1:  Cut a few pieces of pattern paper into 4x4 squares.

Step 2: Draw a spiral on the square pieces of paper, it doesn't have to be perfect.

Step 3: Cut along the pencil lines you have drawn, staring at the outside edge and working your way to the center.

Step 4: Use a pencil or a small paint brush to get the rolling started, continue rolling until you get to the center, using your fingers to keep it from popping open.

Step 5: Add glue to center of the spiral/base and press to adhere the coiled paper.

and you're done....

Added your beautiful rolled flowers onto your scrapbook pages, cards or make them into a bouquet, just think of all the beautiful projects you can add these flowers to.

I hope you like this page and it has inspired you to create your own!

Love / CSI Case File no.103

Hi everyone! I'm so excited to share my first layout created for CSI: Color, Stories, Inspiration, using this month's second challenge.

Love....

Here are the Case File and Clue....

Clues I used: Evidence - hearts and string; Testimony - document someone you love and used LOVE from the inspiration words for my title; Color - I used three of the colors on my page.

I used American Crafts, Jen Hadfield Along the Way collection for this page. The beautiful black and white diamond pattern paper from the collection was used for my background.

The Cherish and the Friendship necklace die cuts from Spellbinders was used to create the layered hearts. To create difference layers some cardstock die cuts were tucked in under the hearts and some were added above, using foam tape.

For texture, I added some machine stitching around the edges of the hearts.

I hope you'll come play along with CSI this month. Look at all the awesome sponsors donating prizes:

You have until Tuesday, March 4 2020....to solve this case. We can't wait to see what you'll create! Upload your creations in our Facebook Group (album link in sidebar).

Lucky Me / Fancy Pants Designs

Hello, Fancy Pants Friends! Today I have a Valentine's themed layout to share with you, using the Good OL' Days collection. The beautiful reds found in this collection as well as those cute butterflies were perfect for documenting how lucky I am, to have two amazing guys in my life that have completely captured my heart.

I used the Memories paper (the note paper design) as my background, to which I added a few hearts, using a stencil and some paint splatters.

Here are a few close-ups......

My Creative Scrapbook / February Projects

Here's this months projects, using the February Main Kit!

A quick summary of the products found in this month's main kit....patterned paper from Simple Stories 'So Happy Together' collection, as well as a few pieces from American Crafts-Jen Hadfield 'This is Family' and Photo Play Paper 'Family' collections. The 12x12 Combo Cardstock and Chipboard stickers, along with the Bits and Pieces Ephemera pack with shapes of houses, flowers and hearts. Also included in the main kit, a Prima clear stamp, and gold puffy phrase thickers by American Crafts.

Here are my projects using the February main kit and a few close-ups...

'Love'

Cut a couple pieces of pattern paper on an angle to used as borders, which was then added to the top and bottom section of my page. Machine stitching was added to the borders and then continued up onto the white cardstock.

Added a few layers of patterned paper behind my photo and distressed the edges a bit.

Embellishments from the 'So Happy Together' collection was used to create two small clusters, which was added to the bottom right and left corner of my photo.

'Our Family'

Cut File....

The cut file was cut from white cardstock, I then decided not to back the cut out, which allowed it to become part of the background.

Next, I fussy cut lots for floral clusters from the Love Us paper and adhered then to the bottom of my photo, some with foam tape and others were adhere right to the cardstock.

Happy Together...

To the top portion of my layout I added the beautiful blue floral pattern paper (My Family) and then added the yellow plaid pattern paper (Love Us) in two small strips across the page.

I created a few small cluster of embellishments on both sides of my photo and another by my title.

I hope you felt inspired today to go create something of your own.
