Yvette here today, and I'm so excited to share another layout with the gorgeous "You Are My Sunshine" collection. I love looking back at photos of my son when he was younger and finding treasured moments like those snack-time pictures. With its fun and cheerful colors, this collection is perfect for bringing those sweet memories to life!
I began my layout by using a 1 ¾-inch circle punch to create beautiful circles from the 6x6 You Are My Sunshine accent paper pack. To add some visual interest, I hand-stitched a few of the circles.
On one half of the page, I arranged three circles in the first row and two in the second, alternating their positions until I filled the space. I also fussy-cut some hearts from one of the 6x6 accent papers and placed them on top of a few circles to provide added detail.
Next, I cut off the strip from the bottom of the Catch Some Rays Pattern Paper and positioned it down the center of the page, grounding the design.
To pull the page together, I added my photos, journaling, and a few watercolor floral and stem die cuts from the Fresh Bloom Stems.
I used my Silhouette to create a title for this page and cut it from black cardstock.
To enhance my page, I used a hole punch to create smaller circles that I could place in and around the larger ones, and I am pleased with the overall outcome.
Thank you so much for joining me on the blog today. I hope my project using this collection inspires you to create something beautiful, too!
Hi everyone! Today, I am excited to share a fun layout featuring the fabulous "You Are My Sunshine" collection. This collection is packed with lots of happy colors and beautiful icons, perfect for documenting these adorable photos of my son plant shopping with Dad.
When I saw the Nectar patterned paper with its colorful design, I realized it would be ideal for creating a fun grid-style background and perfect for hand-stitching. I cut the paper into sections, ensuring each section had four designs, and added stitching inside each one.
Next, I added my photos and started placing my embellishment.
I chose one of the titles from the Just Peachy word title die-cuts, placed it below the photos, and added my journaling underneath it.
For the finishing touches, I chose a few die-cut pieces from the Butterfly Wings and Fresh Bloom Stems packs to thoughtfully enhance certain areas around my photos.
These little accents really bring everything together nicely.
Thank you so much for joining me on the blog today. I hope my project using this collection inspires you to create something beautiful, too!
Hi everyone! It's Yvette on the blog today, sharing a sketch challenge layout made with the lovely "You Are My Sunshine" collection. This collection captures the essence of joy with its vibrant colors that remind us of sunny days and the simple pleasure of enjoying ice cream. I hope this inspires you and brings a smile to your day!
Here's this month's sketch.
I rotated the sketch so that the vertical strip was horizontal. I then chose the Pick-Up Sticks paper, creating the illusion that the paper was cut into thin strips rather than one solid piece, and I loved the result.
The sketch has the photo mainly in the center of the page, but I decided to nudge it to the right. This little tweak adds a nice touch and makes it feel more inviting!
By moving the photo to the right, I needed to remove the thin strips on the sketch. I then added two of the Die-Cuts from the 100% Sunshine Word on the left side of the layout and placed the title (Summer Smiles) above my photo.
I had a great time getting creative on this page! I swapped out the star elements for some lovely floral die-cuts from Fresh Bloom Stems and added some cute butterfly die-cuts from Butterfly Wings. To top it off, I used one of the Frisbee Frame/Journaling Tags as a fun way to jot down my thoughts. It really added a personal touch!
'm thrilled with how this turned out! We would love for you to join in on the fun! Please share your creations using this sketch in our Facebook Fan Group. I can't wait to see what you come up with! I truly appreciate you taking the time to stop by. Until we meet again, take care, and happy scrapping!
Hey there, my lovely PLS friends! It's Yvette here. I'm thrilled to share my first layout using the gorgeous Frosty & Friends collection. I love the beautiful color combination in this collection—it just brings all those cozy winter vibes!
As soon as I saw the beautiful Winter Cottage paper with the wreath and cute critters, I knew it would make a great starting point for my page. I started by carefully removing the inner section of the wreath and backing the opening with the winter-patterned paper for added interest.
I added my photo to the inside of the wreath, placing it on the left side. I wanted to build some clusters on the wreath using some of the adorable Snow Friends Die-Cuts from the collection, so I put those on the bottom left and right corners of the wreath.
I placed some Fruitcake Stitches Clear Stickers on the wreath's branches and at the top of the photo. I fussy-cut a few stars from the Winter Star paper to scatter around the wreath.
I selected the phrase from the Winter Wishes Clear Sticker, 'It's a Wonderful Life,' as the title for this layout. I placed it beneath my picture and enhanced the design with a few Fruitcake Stitches Stickers at the bottom.
I finished my layout by adding a few stamped snowflakes to give it a winter look. Thank you so much for joining me on the blog today. I hope my project using this collection inspires you to create something beautiful, too!
Hey there! I've got some fantastic Christmas inspiration for you today using the stunning Dear Santa collection by Simple Stories. Get ready to be inspired and feel the holiday spirit!
For this project, I used white and red cardstock paper. I trimmed an inch from each of the three sides and distressed the edges to create a unique, textured look. Then, I placed the papers on top of the black gingham paper at the top of the page. I added multiple layers of patterned papers that complemented each other perfectly. Finally, I added my photos and embellished the page with a few Layered Bits and Pieces, Ephemera - Bits and Pieces, and the Santa from page pieces as the title. Overall, I am really pleased with how this project turned out!
Enjoy the video and happy scrapping!
