Too Cute to Spook|Just Nick Studio

Hi Friends!

Today I'm sharing my design team layout for Just Nick Studio....This week it's all about Halloween!

I wanted to scrap this picture of my son for awhile, in the photo Max love dressing up as a pirate the week before Halloween....but the day of Halloween he refuse to put it on!
An OMG moment!!! ;)

 Too Cute To Spook!

I started by selecting all the cut files I wanted to use on my page...31 and Spiderweb these are some of the amazing new files in the shop....
I open the 31 cut file in my Cameo, select the cat & ghost icon and weld together...I used the Hot Chocolate Patterned paper from the Oakley Avenue collection ( Pretty Little Studio) for this.
Next came the Spiderweb which I cut from the (Echo Park Paper) Hocus Pocus collection... before I started to assemble my layout, I splash some orange and purple paint on my white cardstock to create my background!

Here's a few close-ups

Added the cat & ghost cut files with form dots behind for some dimension on both sides of my photo, using some stickers from the Hocus Pocus collection to add under and around the picture!

For the Spiderweb I place one in the top right corner and the other I tucked under the bottom left of my photo...

To finish off  my page I added my title which came from the 31 cut file and added my journaling..

Thanks for stopping by....Remember to check out the shop to see the new cut files each week!

Creative Scrappers #299 | Handsome Lunch Date | Cocoa Vanilla Studios

Creative Scrappers Sketch #299-Reveal Day!!!

Hi scrapping friends!!!  Today is sketch #299 reveal day at Creative Scrappers ...

This month Creative Scrappers is teaming up with Cocoa Vanilla Studios!!!
I used the Love Always Collection on my page... This collection is very soft and pretty, my first thought was to do a layout of myself, but decided to challenge myself to create a page of my son!

Here's the awesome sketch that Kristine designed for us!

Here's the layout I created!!!

Handsome Lunch Date!

To begin my layout I use a cut file from Creative Cut Files by Creative Scrappers call Cross Stitch Background....
I used the patterned papers from the Love Alway collection to layer and back the cut file. You can see I also added some machine stitching around the edges...

This layout features photos of my son Max, enjoy having lunch at his favorite Diner with his mom!

I used two photos instead of four and added a panel to the third space. On this square I used a stamp with a fork and spoon design to add to the Diner feel, I then fussy cut, added a few foam dots underneath to add a little more dimension to my page.
I also added a bow and few other bits that came in the Love Always Bits & Pieces Set....

Here's a few close-ups for my layout...

On the photo to the right I added the heart cut file from Cocoa Vanilla, which I cut into three different sizes and layer one on top the other. To complete the heart I add the button that came in the Bits & Pieces Set....

To the bottom right I added a small cluster of vellum pieces and to the top of that I place my journaling.  I'm so in love with all the stunning embellishments, vellum accents and bits & pieces that make up this collection...   ;)

Here's another look!

To finish off my page I added my title!!!

Now it's your turn to play along with us!!!

Future Chef | Just Nick Studio | Stuck?!Sketches

Hi Friends!

Today I'm sharing a layout for Just Nick Studio...This week the DT was asked to create a layout using the Sept. 15 sketch from Stuck?!Sketches!

This layout features a few photos of my son cooking his favorite chicken dish...
He loves watching the Food Network channel and now he thinks he's a chef...HELP!!!
Oh My Goodness!  :)

Future Chef!

Here's the sketch from Stuck?!Sketches

To add some texture to my background I used the Retro Square Background cut file from the shop, cutting it from white cardstock and so not to overpower the page I decide to use white cardstock also to back it.

Here's a few close-up to show you some of the details!

I used the sketch as is .... there are four circles on this sketch, two I used the cut file Rustic Leaf Frame  which I cut into two different sizes and the other two were handstitched!

I created some layers under my photos using patterned paper from Pink Paislee (Outfitters) collection.
I added a little cluster of stars to the bottom left of my photo, another two more stars one to the top left and another to the right to create a triangle...

To create a little more texture to my page, I added some machine stitching in a few places and
added a few puffy stickers from Fancy Pants Design (Good Fellows) around my page.

For my title I used another one of Just nick cut file call Type It Alpha, and I finished my layout off with few different colors splatter.

Come play along with this sketch to win a $25 gift certificate to Just Nick Studio!!!

If you LOVE using Cut Files to create head on over to Just Nick Studio!!!

My Sweet Boy!!!

Hi friends!!

This month I decided to play along with  Scrap the Boys  challenge.
The challenge this month this to created a layout using a photo for you and one for the boys in your life.
I decide to make this layout for my son!

My Sweet Boy....

I started by opening the All Boy cut file from Just Nick Shop  in my Cameo... and choose to use only the stars in the file.  I arrange the stars in my cameo exactly where I wanted the cut out to be on my page...

My layout features patterned papers from the Dear Lizzy Saturday collection and the Amy Tangerine Oh Happy Life collection....and a couple of  wood veneers from the Cocoa Vanilla Love Always collection!

Here are a couple of close-ups of my layout...

I added some foam tape behind some of the stars for a little extra dimension....I also used a black pen to draw an outline around the insides of the cut file.

I used one of the circle cut outs to add a wood veneer and alphas to create my title.
Place a few enamel dots on the page and this layout is finish!!!

Thanks for stopping by :)

Little Moments | Just Nick Studio

Hi Scrapping Friends!!!

Today, I'm over on the Just Nick Studio  blog sharing my latest layout .... The title for this layout says it all !!!  I love all the little moments in my life...  A kiss on the cheek!  The many I love you throughout the day...and when you call me to your room, so you can give me a hug!!!  I am so lucky to call you my son.

Little Moments...

I started my page off by using the Nana's Doily Background cut file, this is one of the many new awesome digital cut files in the shop. Most of the time I like to use white cardstock for my cut files, but I just got the new Pink Paislee-Take Me Away collection and I couldn't resist play with it!!!
At first I wanted to back the Nana's Doily Background cut file with white cardstock, but decided to use this gray patterned paper from the Take Me Away collection!!! I added some machine stitching around the edge of the layout and in the middle of the doilies I use embroidery floss for some extra texture...

A close-up of the handstitching using two different colors embroidery floss..

I created three little clusters next to area where I did the handstitching on the cut file, using stickers from Simple Stories-Carpe Diem collection...

For my title I use another cut file Script Alpha 2, and did some heat embossing on it...

To finish the layout off I added some white paint splatters around the page!!

Thanks for stopping by! Remember to check out the shop to see the new cut files each week!!!
