Santa - Simple Vintage Dear Santa Collection by Simple Stories

Hey there! I've got some fantastic Christmas inspiration for you today using the stunning Dear Santa collection by Simple Stories. Get ready to be inspired and feel the holiday spirit!

For this project, I used white and red cardstock paper. I trimmed an inch from each of the three sides and distressed the edges to create a unique, textured look. Then, I placed the papers on top of the black gingham paper at the top of the page. I added multiple layers of patterned papers that complemented each other perfectly. Finally, I added my photos and embellished the page with a few Layered Bits and Pieces, Ephemera - Bits and Pieces, and the Santa from page pieces as the title. Overall, I am really pleased with how this project turned out!

Enjoy the video and happy scrapping!

Thank you so much for joining me here on the blog today. I hope my project using this collection will inspire you to create something beautiful, too!

Yvette xoxo

Love / CSI Case File no.103

Hi everyone! I'm so excited to share my first layout created for CSI: Color, Stories, Inspiration, using this month's second challenge.

Love....

Here are the Case File and Clue....

Clues I used: Evidence - hearts and string; Testimony - document someone you love and used LOVE from the inspiration words for my title; Color - I used three of the colors on my page.

I used American Crafts, Jen Hadfield Along the Way collection for this page. The beautiful black and white diamond pattern paper from the collection was used for my background.

The Cherish and the Friendship necklace die cuts from Spellbinders was used to create the layered hearts. To create difference layers some cardstock die cuts were tucked in under the hearts and some were added above, using foam tape.

For texture, I added some machine stitching around the edges of the hearts.

I hope you'll come play along with CSI this month. Look at all the awesome sponsors donating prizes:

You have until Tuesday, March 4 2020....to solve this case. We can't wait to see what you'll create! Upload your creations in our Facebook Group (album link in sidebar).

Hello, Fancy Pants Friends! Today I have a Valentine's themed layout to share with you, using the Good OL' Days collection. The beautiful reds found in this collection as well as those cute butterflies were perfect for documenting how lucky I am, to have two amazing guys in my life that have completely captured my heart.

I used the Memories paper (the note paper design) as my background, to which I added a few hearts, using a stencil and some paint splatters.

Here are a few close-ups......

I hope you like my layout today and it has inspired you to create your own.

Chilly | My Creative Scrapbook

Hi My Scrapping Friends!

A quick pop in today to share one of my layout using My Creative Scrapbook  January Main kit...The main kit this month is featuring the beautiful and playful 'Freezin Season' collection from Simple Stories as well as the die-cut Ephemera bit and pieces and the chipboard stickers from this collection. Also included in this kit is American Crafts Thickers, a couple of patterned papers from Photoplay 'Lost Mittens' collection and Let it Snow stamp and die set from Hampton Art.

I started by selecting two of the beautiful patterned papers from the 'Freezin Season' collection and then added some stitching around the perimeter.  A few cut file snowflakes, cut from some white cardstock was tucked underneath and around the patterned paper, and I also added a larger snowflake to sit right on top, which created another layer for my page.

A couple of frames cut from patterned paper, one was added to the upper right corner and the other to the lower left corner.

Next I added a few embellishments and keeping them mainly to the middle of my page.

It's All Downhill | My Creative Scrapbook-December Tutorial

Hi My Creative Scrapbook friends! Today I have a new layout to share using this months gorgeous main kit. This kit is perfect for documenting any of your holiday or winter memories and I decided to document this fun photo of my son, sledding!

I started by cutting out three squares from some white cardstock. The squares can be any size you choose to work with....larger or smaller....it's really depends on the size of your photo. My squares are all 4 1/2 inches.

I then drew another square onto the white cardstock, leaving a 1/4 inch edge and cut the inside square out to create a frame.

Here's a look at the frames created from the cardstock. ↴

Next, I selected one of the beautiful patterned paper in the Simple Stories 'Simple Vintage Christmas' collection and use it to create another square (9").  Once I was happy with the placement of the frames, I used my sewing machine to add some stitching around the outside of each of the white cardstock frames.

The white cardstock frames was then glued, to fit inside of the framed stitching.  I then adhered a piece of black cardstock (slightly larger than the pattern paper) to the back and use a scissors to create a scallop edge all around the perimeter and really love how this turn out!

I love the beautiful black & white text and plaid patterned papers in the 'Simple Vintage Christmas' collection and instead of using the boring white cardstock as my background I decided to use both the text and plaid paper to create a bit more interest and place them on an angle.

I used some of chipboard stickers from Echo Park as well as a few stickers from Simple Stories 'Simple Vintage Christmas' collection to create a cluster in the bottom right hand corner of the photo.

A cut file was use to create a title for my page.

....and here are a couple of close-ups...

To finish the layout off I added a few more chipboard accent stickers around the page.

I hope you felt inspired today and if you're not a subscriber yet, give it a try. The kits are all so beautiful and you will not regret it!!!!

I Love You | My Creative Scrapbook

Hi My Scrapping Friends!!!

Today I have a new layout to share using the gorgeous November main kit from My Creative Scrapbook! This month the main kit is featuring the BEAUTIFUL new 'Along The Way' collection from Pebbles...with so many beautiful patterned papers and embellishments to choose from, you're sure to have a marvelous time document those little moments. I decided to document this silly selfie of our family enjoying our new home.

I started by using the notebook page patterned paper for my background. I also decided to leave the branding strip at the bottom of the paper on and added another strip of pattern paper to the top of the page. Next, I selected a few phrase pieces from the foil accent Ephemera pack, matted my photo as well as created a fishtail tag/banner from the cute "bird Seed' patterned paper and once I had everything arrange to my liking, I added some hand stitching and glue in place.

To the banner, I added one of the cut apart journaling card and adhered it down with some foam tape.

The gold foil chipboard stickers from this month's main kit was used to create a title for my page.

A few more ephemera pieces was added to my layout to finish it off.

I hope you felt inspired today and if you're not a subscriber yet, give it a try. The kits are all so beautiful and you will not regret it!!!!

The Great Outdoors | Paper House Productions

Hi My Scrapping Friends!

Today I'm back to share a layout that I created for this week boys challenge over at Paper House Productions!

Christine challenge a few of the designers to create a fun boys page with minimal supplies. Here are the supplies we were asked to use...Patterned papers, letters and Cardstock stickers from the Great Outdoors collection, Mom Boys 3D stickers,Washi Tape, Cut File and Mist!

I started by using the Wood Grain patterned paper as a base for my layout. I then selected a cut file, arranged it exactly where I wanted it to go on my page using my Cameo and cut them both from white cardstock. Next, I backed some of opening with patterned paper and adhere then on opposite sides of my layout. I also added some Washi tape to the top of the cut file and place a die-cut star in the middle.

I used one of the Cardstock sticker from the 'Great Outdoors' collection as a title for my layout and also added a few more stickers around the title, love the added interest this create!

I matted my photo with some color cardstock and adhered it using foam tape for added dimension.  I created a small cluster of embellishments on the bottom right hand corner of my photo using Cardstock and 3D stickers.

I created a smaller cluster down in the bottom left hand corner of the layout, using a couple of sentiment stickers, another one of those cute 3D Sticker and a die-cut star.

I finished the page off with a few more die-cut stars and some paint splatters!

Thanks for stopping by today! I hope I inspired you to create something beautiful using your Paper House products!
