Hello friends!
I used the Plume & Petal collection to document my husband's birthday, showcasing how specific products can create meaningful layouts. I printed my photos in black and white so they wouldn't clash with the collection's beautiful colors!
Next, I selected two pieces from Vicki Boutin's Irresistible die-cut Borders for this page. I applied Ranger Dye Ink in Sunrise with a flat brush, then dabbed off some. Next, I used a palette knife to spread white gesso, wiping off excess, and finished with Twilight dye ink for added detail.
I started with the Happy paper from the 12x12 collection as my base and applied white gesso to the right side to create a faded effect. Then, I layered pieces from both the 12x12 collection and the solid papers, added die-cut borders from the Irresistible collection, and framed my photos with elements from the Ephemera & Frames pack before placing them on my page.
I found a fantastic title in Chipboard Sentiments that really tied the project together, adding a cohesive element to the design. I also added a few more die-cut phrases to brighten up the page and make it even more fun, demonstrating how thoughtful embellishments can elevate your scrapbook layout.
The Laser Cut Element Set features pieces with a charming antique feel, including floral clusters, musical motifs, and more. I incorporated several dragonflies and finished the page with a Vicki Boutin Artful Edges Rub-On. I am pleased with the final look and the unique touch it adds to my layout.
