My Creative Scrapbook / April Main Kit Projects

Hi My Creative Scrapbook fans! 

Here's this months projects, using the April Main Kit!

A quick summary of the products found in this month's main kit....patterned paper from My Mind's Eye 'Gingham Gardens' collection, also from Photoplay 'We are Family' collection...the (traditions) pattern paper.  Also included in the main kit, the Gingham Gardens mixed bag ephemera, chipboard embellishments, and the double sided journal cards. American Crafts glitter letter stickers and a pack of Creative Embellishments laser cut chipboard word set.  

Here are my projects using the April main kit and a few close-ups...

Happiness....

I created a framed background by layering together the Savannah paper from My Mind's Eye and the Traditions paper from Photoplay, and also added some machine stitching around the perimeter.

Next, I selected the journal cards I wanted to use, and begin layering them one over the other, until I was happy with the overall design.

I finished by adding in some fussy cut floral, along with a couple of die cut bees. 

Beauty...

For this layout the journal cards was once again used to create multiple layers. To the right side and along of the bottom of the photo, embellishments from the Gingham Gardens was added. I love how easy this all came together with the help of the April main kit.

     

Sweet....

March cut files...

This month's beautiful cut files were the inspiration for this layout. Both of the cut files used, were cut from white cardstock.  First I layered papers Charlotte and Savannah together to use as my background. On the Savannah pattern paper, a spiral punch was used to create the look of a torn, distress notebook page. The chicken wire cut file was placed behind my photo and embellish with a few cut die pieces. To the left side, the vine cut file was added vertically and embellish with some of the beautiful die cuts found in the mixed bag.

Here's this months projects, using the December Main Kit!

A quick summary of the products found in this month's main kit....patterned paper from Simple Stories 'Country Christmas' collection as well as a few pieces from Heidi Swapp 'Winter Wonderland' and Pink Paislee 'Together For Christmas' collections. The 12x12 combo cardstock stickers, the beautiful holiday floral Bits and Pieces and the layered frames, which are perfect for highlighting your photos. Also included in the main kit, Gold glitter alpha stickers and a Prima clear stamp.

Winter Wonderland...

Created lots of layers and dimension by fussy cut the beautiful poinsettias from Heidi Swapp 'Poinsettia Lane paper and the evergreen trees from the Simple Stories ' O Christmas Tree' paper.  

Waiting For Fire Truck Santa...

I selected three of the papers from the Country Christmas collection to create some layers behind my photo. I love the rustic feel/look on paper 5 from Pink Paislee, and decided to add two strips down through the paper layers.        

I used some of the beautiful floral bits and pieces, cardstock stickers and some die cut to create a couple of clusters around my photo. I also created a tag, which was added behind the photo.

Merry Christmas...

 Starry Skies cut file....

My wreath was cut from white cardstock and backed, using the Glad Tidings and the Christmas Magic patterned papers. I also fussy cut the gorgeous wreath found on the Christmas Magic paper and place it underneath the cut file wreath. 

  

Here you can see, I added Blue and Red watercolor paint to my background by simple using the packaging technique. 

     

I keep the embellishments to a minimal by adding a large title and one small cluster at the top of the wreath.

Autumn Days-My Creative Scrapbook November Tutorial

Hello, My Creative Scrapbook fans! Today I'm sharing a layout featuring the Autumn Days exclusive cut file designed by Ashley Horton.          

  

 I start by cutting the beautiful wreath cut file from white cardstock.

I chose the 'Seasons of Change' patterned paper, the reverse side, to back the wreath cut file and also as my background. 

I then used a pencil to trace along the inside of the wreath and removed the inside portion only, using a craft knife or you can also use a small detail scissor.     

It took me a little while to choose the pattern paper I wanted to use to back the wreath open with, I didn't want something that was too busy or colorful, I wanted to keep the focus on the beautiful wreath design. I end up using the 'Fabulous Fall' paper and simply arrange it, to my liking.  

Next, I added some backstitching down the center of the leaves, before gluing everything in place.

I used stickers, chipboards, Bits and Pieces from the 'Autumn Splendor' collection to embellish the layout by creating a couple of clusters to the inside and the outside of the wreath. 

I finish the page by adding some white gesso with my finger around the outside of the wreath, just to soften it a bit.

My Creative Scrapbook-September Projects

Hi My Creative Scrapbook fans! 

Here's this months projects, using the September Main Kit! 

 A quick summary of the products found in this month's main kit.....patterned paper from Vicki Boutin 'Wildflower & Honey' collection as well as a few pieces from her 'Field Notes' collection. Wildflower & Honey collection frames and journaling Ephemera pack, the fun icons Ephemera pack, Cardstock sticker sheets with holographic gold foil, and the Wildflower Chipboard stickers.

Here's my projects and a few close-ups...

Cut file used on layout found HERE...

Cut file cut from some white cardstock and backed with the Blossom patterned paper from the Vicki Boutin Wildflower and Honey collection.   

Vicki Boutin watercolor markers was used to create a colorful background. 

I used a couple of die-cuts, from Spellbinders with the embellishments from the Wildflower and Honey collection to create the clusters on my page.

Adore...

I used a stencil and the Prima Golden Walnut spray to create this beautiful background.  

Fussy cut flowers and butterflies were added around my photo.  

Make Today So Awesome That Tomorrow Gets Jealous....

Here are the cut files used on this layout....

I started by adding the Prima-Golden Walnut (free this month) and Vicki Boutin-Orange Slice paint onto some white cardstock and then use a straw to blow the paint around, which  created the beautiful background as shown below....      

In Silhouette, I welded the Love and Wildflower cut files to create one image and then backed it will some of the beautiful pattern papers found in the September main kit.   

Add embellishments and photo.
