Autumn Days-My Creative Scrapbook November Tutorial

Hello, My Creative Scrapbook fans! Today I'm sharing a layout featuring the Autumn Days exclusive cut file designed by Ashley Horton.          

  

 I start by cutting the beautiful wreath cut file from white cardstock.

I chose the 'Seasons of Change' patterned paper, the reverse side, to back the wreath cut file and also as my background. 

I then used a pencil to trace along the inside of the wreath and removed the inside portion only, using a craft knife or you can also use a small detail scissor.     

It took me a little while to choose the pattern paper I wanted to use to back the wreath open with, I didn't want something that was too busy or colorful, I wanted to keep the focus on the beautiful wreath design. I end up using the 'Fabulous Fall' paper and simply arrange it, to my liking.  

Next, I added some backstitching down the center of the leaves, before gluing everything in place.

I used stickers, chipboards, Bits and Pieces from the 'Autumn Splendor' collection to embellish the layout by creating a couple of clusters to the inside and the outside of the wreath. 

I finish the page by adding some white gesso with my finger around the outside of the wreath, just to soften it a bit.

Blue Skies And Sunshine Everyday | My Creative Scrapbook-July Tutorial

Hi My Creative Scrapbook friends! Yvette here today with a layout using the July Main Kit.  I was inspired by the beautiful sunshine and clouds pattern paper, so I decided to use it as a background for my page.

I couldn't resist the idea of adding stitching to outline all of the clouds on the Sunny Day pattern paper, which in turn added that extra detail and texture I wanted to see on my layout.

   

Gather my supplies.....in the end I decided to use a cut file for my title instead of the stamps.

Next, I use a paper piercing tool to piece holds around each of the clouds.

Added my stitching, this took me a little while to do but was so worth it :)))))

I love the sun rays on this paper and decided to enhance it a bit by using a white gel pen. 

One of the strips found on the border pattern paper, had the perfect little phrase to use as a title for my layout. I used a font in my Silhouette Cameo to create the title and cut it from some white cardstock. I wanted a colorful title, so while the cardstock was still on the cutting mat, I added some mixed media to the background using several different colors of Dylusions ink sprays.

Arrange the title along the sun ray, as well as some vellum die-cut circles.

How cute is that chipboard sun, I placed it at the top of the page and add the adorable sunglasses on top of it! 

I created a small cluster on the bottom of the layout that includes a couple of floral stickers and a chipboard accent.

  On the right hand side of the photo, I added another small cluster of chipboard and cardstock stickers.

I really enjoyed creating this page using the sunshine and clouds pattern paper and hope I inspired you to do the same!

I'm back today to share another page created with the gorgeous June Main Kit from My Creative Scrapbook!

Here's a look at this month's cut files....

I use both the wreath and bird on my layout and cut them both from white cardstock. Instead of coloring the entire wreath, I use a couple of copic markers and just run it all around the edges of the wreath. Then adhered it down to my background paper with foam dots. I added both pattern paper and hand stitching to the bird cut file and really love the end results, even though it took a while to  all of that stitching:))))

Added my title around the outside of the wreath and adhere in place with some machine stitching.

     

To finish the layout, I arranged a few pieces of embellishments on the page, such as the butterfly and the fish tail tags from the Early Bird Noteworthy collection.

Hi My Scrapping Friends!!!

It's reveal day over at  My Creative Scrapbook, and this month's kits are all so gorgeous!!!

Today I have a layout to share with you using the June main kit!  This is such a beautiful kit, fill with lots of Patterned paper from Bo Bunny-Early Bird Collection, 1 canoe 2-stamp sets and wood veneers and so much more. This kit really challenge me and took me out of my comfort zone with the beautiful soft pastel colors but I love the end result I was able to achieve on each of my layouts.

I layered a few pieces of patterned papers behind my photo to create a background for my photos, I also layered a few strips of patterned paper across the page and then added some hand stitching.

      

I created two clusters of embellishments, one on the bottom left hand corner of the photos and the other cluster was added to the top right corner. The clusters includes a few of the Bo Bunny-Early Bird noteworthy die cuts, some fussy cut butterflies as well as a couple of phrase stickers. 

             

On the left hand side of my photos I added the wood veneer word * Hello* which I used as the title of my layout. I love the wood veneer pieces in the Twilight collection from 1 canoe 2, perfect for title and embellishing.

You Are My Sunshine | My Creative Scrapbook

Hi Scrapping Friends!!!

  Today I'm sharing layout for My Creative Scrapbook using the gorgeous April main kit as well as this month's Cut files! 

Here's the April cut files...

I used both the bicycle and fence image from this month's free cut file to document a photo of my son riding around in a circle on his tricycle. I started by resized the fence to fit across the middle of the page and cut it out of the beautiful blue and white check pattern paper from Simple Stories-Welcome Spring collection.  Next, I resized the bike so it can fit in the lower section of my layout and cut if from some black cardstock.  Back the wheels with some hand painted white cardstock and added some hand stitching around the edges of the bicycle wheels.

 
I fussy cut some of the flowers from one of the patterned papers and add them to the right and left of the bicycle. I also added a couple of stickers from the Welcome Spring collection to the top of the bicycle basket.

I cover the top half of the page with the Hello Spring patterned paper from the Welcome Spring collection. I absolutely love all those gorgeous flowers with so many vibrant colors on this paper.
   

I created a cluster on the right hand side of the photo using some stickers, a cut away note card (as my title) and a die-cut doily.  I also added a few die-cut tags underneath the top of the photo.

Love Always | My Creative Scrapbook

Hi My Scrapping Friends!

Today I'm back to share another layout for My Creative Scrapbook, featuring the beautiful February cut files! 

I documented a few 2x2 photos for the three fabulous guys in my life. 

Here's a look at the free cut file available this month to My Creative Scrapbook customers...   

I decided to use both the XOXO and the heart on my layout.  Next,  I open my Cameo and decided where on my background I wanted the XOXO icon and cut it out of white cardstock.  I then backed it with the Be Mine patterned paper and adhered the positive pieces from the cut file on top of the opening with some foam dots for more dimension.  Once my background was ready,  I decided to trim about an inch from the edges in order to create a frame using a few different pieces of solid color cardstocks.

  

Next, I cut out the heart image using the reverse side of Be Mine patterned paper, added some hand stitching around the outer edges of the heart and arrange my photos to the inside opening.

I finished the layout of by adding my title and a couple pieces of embellishments.

Happy Memories | My Creative Scrapbook

Hi My Creative Scrapbook Fans! 

I have a new layout to share with you today, created with the gorgeous main kit from My Creative Scrapbook! I absolutely love the Vintage Blessing Collection featured in this kit!

Both my husband and son have October birthdays. So for this layout I'm documenting my son's favorite way to celebrate his birthday, with a delicious Ice-Cream cake!

   

I started by adding three thin strips of patterned papers to the lower section of my page. I then selected the patterned papers I wanted to use for my balloons and created several circles using a 2ins circle punch.

  
I arranged the circles to the top of my page and couldn't resist adding some hand stitching to complete the look of balloons floating above my son's head, I also tie the string from the stitching to create a bow. I really loved how this turned out, such a great way to add extra texture to one page!

I created a cluster on the bottom right hand corner of the middle photo using a few cardstock sticker from the Simple Stories Vintage Blessings collection and also added a journaling sticker stip to the bottom of the other two photos.
 

I finished the layout off by creating a title using a couple of words from the sticker sheet.

Today | Just Nick Studio

Hi Scrapping Friends!

Today I'm sharing a layout that I created using the Planes, Trains & Automobiles cut file from the Just Nick Studio shop!

The train in the Planes,Trains & Automobiles cut file set were perfect to document this photo of Max's Day Out With Thomas! Max enjoyed meeting Sir Topham Hatt and had a fabulous time  

 being a passenger on Thomas The Train. 

I used the Go See Explore collection from Echo Park for most of this layout with the exception, the base patterned paper is from an older collection A Boy's Life.

        

       

I started by enlarging the train and cutting the image on some pattern paper. Once this was finish I used the offset function in Silhouette to create an outline, which I used as a guideline for my stitching.  Next, I cut the offset image from some pattern paper and adhered to the background. I then hand stitched around the entire train using white embroidery floss.

Here are some close-ups of my page...

      

I drew a few clouds to represent smoke and outline it with a black marker. 

For this page title I chose the Today from the Word 2 cut file, cut it from black cardstock and outline  around the edges with a white marker.

I added a couple of chipboard accents to bottom right hand corner of my photo, along with my title.

I wanted to use some buttons for the train wheels but it just didn't look quite right so I ended up using enamels dot instead.  

I finished my page off by adding some gold stars around the page and my journaling.
