Bloom Where You Are Planted | My Creative Scrapbook

Hi My Scrapping Friends!

Today I'm sharing one of my layout using the beautiful April main kit from My Creative Scrapbook

This kit is full of the Carta Bella Flower Market collection, I couldn't get enough of the beautiful florals in this collection, so I decided to fussy cut some of the floral cluster out of the gorgeous Flower Market Floral and the Garden Floral patterned papers!

I also used the April Take Heart cut file and back it with the Crate Paper Flea Market-Heirloom patterned paper and added some stitching around the perimeter.  The Maggie Holmes-Flutter patterned paper was used as my background and I adhered the cut file to the page using some foam tape for added dimension.

Here's the April-Take Heart cut file....

I used the chipboard phase from Creative Embellishments for my title and added the floral clusters, one in the upper left corner and the other to the bottom right corner of the title.

I finished the layout off by added a couple more sticker and some black ink splatters!

Thank you so much for stopping by!  I hope you felt inspired today and if you're not a subscriber yet, give it a try. The kits are all so beautiful and you will not regret it!!

Hello | My Creative Scrapbook-May Tutorial

Hello My Creative Scrapbook fans!  Yvette here, and today I'm sharing a layout I create using this month's sketch designed by the talented Laura Whitaker. I love to use sketches as a starting point on most of my pages, it gives me the inspiration I need to start my layouts.

Here's a look at the May sketch...

I start by gathering some of my supplies to create my base for my layout.  Next, using a 1 3/4 circle paper punch I created several circles, I then cut out a few thin strips of pattern paper which I use to attach my circles to.

I adhere all of the circles to the thin strips of patterned paper using a staple-as shown below.

Once my background was finish, I started working on adding some layers of patterned paper behind my photo. I also added some foam tape between the layers to create lots of dimension

At this point, I started adding my embellishments using the sketch as my guide.

On the right side of the photo I created a cluster of embellishments by layering together some of the chipboard accents from the Spring Market collection, a couple of paper shapes flowers, as well as a few cut file butterflies which was added all along the right side of the photo and also along the top.

I combined one of the chipboard phrases from the collection, with a cardstock sticker to create my title. I also added a chipboard tag underneath the title and another cut file butterfly.

Included in this month's main kit was a beautiful strip of burlap, I decided to add it along the bottom of my page, I love the added interest and texture this create on my layout.

I finished the layout off with a few enamel dots and added some of Maggie Holmes vintage buttons to the top of the paper flowers.

I hope you felt inspired today and if you're not a subscriber yet, give it a try. The kits are all so beautiful and you will not regret it!!!!

Happy Little Moments | My Creative Scrapbook

Hi My Scrapping Friends!

Today I'm back to share another layout with you using the beautiful May Main Kit from My Creative Scrapbook.  The beautiful florals and colors in the Spring Market collection were perfect to document these photos of Max having a great time playing in the dirt!

I started with a few layers of patterned paper and then fussy cut the beautiful floral window box cluster. I added the window box cluster to the top of my page as well as a paper flower from Bazzill Basics, my title and few chipboard words.

A butterfly stencil was use to add a bit more interest and texture to the background paper.

I created a smaller cluster in the bottom left hand corner using a couple of clipboard stickers and a few fussy cut flowers.

Added a piece of the burlap strip including in this month's main kit to right side of the page.

I finished the layout off with some black ink splatters, a few enamel dots and my journaling.

I hope you felt inspired today and if you're not a subscriber yet, give it a try. The kits are all so beautiful and you will not regret it!!!!

Happy Stuff | My Creative Scrapbook

Hi My Scrapping Friends!

Today I'm here to share one of my layout created with the May main kit from My Creative Scrapbook, along with this month's free cut files!  This kit features the beautiful, Spring Market collection by Carta Bella, and I couldn't resist documenting a photo of me celebrating my birthday!

Here's this month's cut file...

I decided to use three of the potted plants on my page and then combining both patterned paper and vellum to back each of the cut files. I love how the vellum create a soft and dreamy look to my layout.  I adhered the cut files using foam tape to give it some dimension and then added a few stickers and a chipboard accent from the Spring Market collection under and to the top of the cut files.

I use a couple of die-cuts to create a few layers using the gorgeous Spring Market patterned paper as well as some solid cardstock.

I created a base with a die-cut and added the happiness blooms from within chipboard phrases on top.

Added my title to the top right hand corner of my photo, as well as a couple of stickers.

I hope you felt inspired today and if you're not a subscriber yet, give it a try. The kits are all so beautiful and you will not regret it!!!!

With You I'm Home | My Creative Scrapbbok

Hi My Scrapping Friends!!!

Today I have another layout created for My Creative Scrapbook using the beautiful January Main Kit!

I started with the *Let's Stay Home* patterned paper as a base for my layout. I then added a 4x12 strip of the reverse side of the *Keep Life Happy* down the middle of the page, as well as a few thin strips of pattern paper and cardstock tucked underneath both sides.

I created a few circles in two different sizes using the gorgeous patterned paper in this month's kit. After playing around with the many different idea on where to place my circles, I decided on tucking them underneath the middle strip of pattern paper on both side in a cluster of three.

Next, I added my embellishments. I used some chipboards, die cuts, stickers, as well as a fussy cut flower and arrange them diagonally.

To finish the layout, I added some sentiments stickers and enamel dots.

Thanks for stopping by :) xx

Amazing | My Creative Scrapbook | January Tutorial

Happy New Year, My Creative Scrapbook Fans!  For today layout I decided to use the flowers from the Jillibean Soup stamp sets to create some DIY embellishments.

I started by collecting all of my supplies...white cardstock, scissors, ink pads etc.

Next, I stamped the flower and leaf images a few times onto a piece of white cardstock using a few different colors.

Once everything was stamped I took one of my favorite craft scissors and started fussy cutting all of the stamps images, making sure to leave a white border around the outside.

I then started building a series of layers using the gorgeous patterned papers from the *Welcome Home* collection, along with some cardstock. Below you will find a few close-ups photos showing you the layering process.

I started playing around with the placement of my photos and came up with the idea of creating a pocket.  I love the added texture and interest this create, as will as a place to hold my photos.

On the lower left side of the pocket I created a cluster with the stamped flowers along with a *Welcome Home* chipboard piece and a wood veneer from Jillibean Soup (included in this month's main kit).

I used some of the Alphabet foam stickers to create a title and added a few more stamped flowers to the top right and left area of my title.

I really hope you enjoyed this tutorial and got you inspired to create your own embellishments using your stamp sets.

Thank you of stopping by :) Yvette xx
