Sparkle and Shine / My Creative Scrapbook - April Tutorial

Hello everyone!  Today I have a fun layout to share, featuring the beautiful April main kit

Here's a look at the finished page....

Sparkle and Shine

For this layout I wanted to combine, as many pattern papers as I can, without making it look too busy.  With the soft, beautiful colors and patterns found in the Gingham Gardens collection, it made it quite easy to achieve the look and design I wanted.

I started by added some randomly cut strips of pattern papers, onto some white cardstock. The strips were keep mainly to the right side and across the bottom of the page.

My photo was adhere to the layout with foam tape for added dimension. Once in place, I created my title 'Sparkle and Shine' using a couple of chipboard words from Creative Embellishments, combined with letter stickers from American Crafts.

I created a small cluster of layered embellishments over in the right corner.

To finish my layout, I added another cluster to the left side of my photo, using some of the  floral die cuts, a chipboard sticker and a tag with a piece of string which came from my stash.

I hope you felt inspired today to go create something of your own!

My Creative Scrapbook / April Main Kit Projects

Here's this months projects, using the April Main Kit!

A quick summary of the products found in this month's main kit....patterned paper from My Mind's Eye 'Gingham Gardens' collection, also from Photoplay 'We are Family' collection...the (traditions) pattern paper.  Also included in the main kit, the Gingham Gardens mixed bag ephemera, chipboard embellishments, and the double sided journal cards. American Crafts glitter letter stickers and a pack of Creative Embellishments laser cut chipboard word set.

Here are my projects using the April main kit and a few close-ups...

Happiness....

I created a framed background by layering together the Savannah paper from My Mind's Eye and the Traditions paper from Photoplay, and also added some machine stitching around the perimeter.

Next, I selected the journal cards I wanted to use, and begin layering them one over the other, until I was happy with the overall design.

I finished by adding in some fussy cut floral, along with a couple of die cut bees.

Beauty...

For this layout the journal cards was once again used to create multiple layers. To the right side and along of the bottom of the photo, embellishments from the Gingham Gardens was added. I love how easy this all came together with the help of the April main kit.

Sweet....

March cut files...

This month's beautiful cut files were the inspiration for this layout. Both of the cut files used, were cut from white cardstock.  First I layered papers Charlotte and Savannah together to use as my background. On the Savannah pattern paper, a spiral punch was used to create the look of a torn, distress notebook page. The chicken wire cut file was placed behind my photo and embellish with a few cut die pieces. To the left side, the vine cut file was added vertically and embellish with some of the beautiful die cuts found in the mixed bag.

I hope you felt inspired today to go create something of your own!

Hello everyone!  It's Yvette here today, and I am so excited to share my first project using the new Cake Smash collection from Fancy Pants.  With so many beautiful, fun embellishments as well as the bold, vibrant colors in this collection, I couldn't resist creating a layout for my son, celebrating his14th birthday.

I decided on creating a grid design for this layout and placed it on a slight angle. For each of the four sections I used a different piece of pattern paper and embellish with the fun icons from the Cake Smash Collection.

So if you having check out this wonderful collection as yet, stop by the Foundations Decor shop to see this collection plus all of the new products that was recently added.

Sunshine & Happiness / My Creative Scrapbook - March Tutorial

Hello everyone! Today I have a new layout to share created with this months gorgeous main kit from My Creative Scrapbook. The main kit this month is one of my favorite, with all of the beautiful icons and gorgeous colors, it's sure to have you dreaming of Spring!

Sunshine & Happiness....

I started my layout off by cutting strips of pattern paper into two different widths and kept the length at 12 inches.

I distress the edges a bit before adding machine stitching across the paper strips.

Next, I created a couple of circles in Silhouette, (you can also use different size plates to create your circles) cut from white cardstock and then added paint splatters in several different colors before removing the circles from the Silhouette matt.

Once I was happy with the positions of both the paper strips and circles, I then adhered in place.

Matted my photo with patterned papers and positioned it on the page to sat mainly in the larger circle. I also tucked one of the die cut, (which was cut in half) behind the photo and love the extra pop of color this added.

The Bloom Street stickers and die cuts was added in clusters, one in the upper right corner, and the other was place in the bottom left corner of my photo. I used foam tape to add lots of different layers and dimension to my layout.

I hope you like this page and it has inspired you to create your own!

Spring Favorite / Fancy Pants Designs

Hello, Fancy Pants friends!  I have a new layout to share with you today using the beautiful new Cherry on Top collection. This delightful collection with its beautiful soft colors and lovely pattern, is sure to be a favorite.  (It's absolutely YUMMY)!

To the top section of my layout, I added several torn strips of the patterned paper and ran some machine stitching through a few for added texture. My photo was backed with the 'Flavor Burst' paper before adding to my background using foam tape. To finish my page I used some of the die cuts from the collection to add two small clusters at the bottom of the photo.
