Vroom | Just Nick Studio

Hi My Scrapping Friends!

Today I'm sharing my last design team project for Just Nick Studio, I truly enjoy creating with Nicole's fabulous cut files and wanted to thank her for such an amazing experience!

I created my layout using the Plane,Trains & Automobiles cut file and also the Scribble Circle Background.

The plane, train and automobiles cut file set is perfect to document your little boy's adventures, I used the car and the word 'VROOM' to document a photo of my son riding his toy quad in the yard.

I used patterned paper and embellishments from Echo Park-Go See Explore collection on this page.

I first cut the Scribble Circle Background from some white cardstock and instead of backing the cut file with pattern paper I decided to use paint, which I absolutely loved !

Next, I enlarge the car image and cut it from some pattern paper. I then cut the car image down the middle and place on both side of my photo.

The word VROOM in this cut file sets were a perfect title for my layout.  I cut it from both pattern paper and black cardstock and adhere it together by slightly overlapping it, which created a wonderful shadowing effect. Next,  I just added some foam tape underneath to give it some extra dimension.

I finished the layout off with some stickers, a few small buttons and a mini paper fan.

I hope I inspired you to create something beautiful using Just Nick cut files!

Baby Blue | My Creative Scrapbook...June Main Kit

Hi My Scrapping Friends!!!

Today I'm sharing another layout created for My Creative Scrapbook using the June Main Kit.

I started by using the All Together patterned paper as my background for my layout. I love the way the color just bring out the blue in my son's eyes.  Next, I cut several strips of pattern paper in various widths and lengths and arranged down the page.  I used both glue and machine stitching to adhere them onto my page and then added the twine atop the middle three strip before adding my photos.

Here are some close-ups....

I created my title using the Family & Co collection Alphabet-chipboard stickers and adding one of the heart from the puffy sticker in the middle.

I added some journaling to my layout...then finished the page off by adding some enamel dots, a few more pieces of chipboard and puffy stickers and a few paint splatters.

I hope I have inspired you to create something beautiful using your kits from My Creative Scrapbook!

Real Life | My Creative Scrapbook - June Main Kit

Hi My Scrapping Friends!

Today I'm back with another layout created for My Creative Scrapbook using the gorgeous June main kit!

I documented a photo of my son from a 2011, Bermuda vacation....we had such a blast on a day trip we took to Horseshoe Bay Beach and just seeing that smile on Max's face as we walk onto the beach was priceless!

I used the patterned paper Good times and All together to create my diagonal design. Next, still following the diagonal line, I added a few thin strips of pattern paper to the lower half of my page and machine stitched down the middle for some added texture.

I added a few layers of pattern paper behind my photo, tucked a small tag and sticker to the top left  side of my photo and to the bottom right hand corner I created a small cluster that includes some of the Family and Co....chipboard and a puffy sticker.

Here you can see I used a paper punch to create a few die cut stars, tucked a few tag under the thin strips of pattern paper and used one of the phrase from the ephemera pack as my title.

I hope I have inspired you to create something beautiful using your kits from My Creative Scrapbook!

Today | Just Nick Studio

Hi Scrapping Friends!

Today I'm sharing a layout that I created using the Planes, Trains & Automobiles cut file from the Just Nick Studio shop!

The train in the Planes,Trains & Automobiles cut file set were perfect to document this photo of Max's Day Out With Thomas! Max enjoyed meeting Sir Topham Hatt and had a fabulous time
being a passenger on Thomas The Train.

I used the Go See Explore collection from Echo Park for most of this layout with the exception, the base patterned paper is from an older collection A Boy's Life.

I started by enlarging the train and cutting the image on some pattern paper. Once this was finish I used the offset function in Silhouette to create an outline, which I used as a guideline for my stitching.  Next, I cut the offset image from some pattern paper and adhered to the background. I then hand stitched around the entire train using white embroidery floss.

Here are some close-ups of my page...

I drew a few clouds to represent smoke and outline it with a black marker.

For this page title I chose the Today from the Word 2 cut file, cut it from black cardstock and outline  around the edges with a white marker.

I added a couple of chipboard accents to bottom right hand corner of my photo, along with my title.

I wanted to use some buttons for the train wheels but it just didn't look quite right so I ended up using enamels dot instead.
I finished my page off by adding some gold stars around the page and my journaling.

Thanks for stopping by :)

My Creative Scrapbook | We Are Family | June Tutorial

Hi My Creative Scrapbook Fans!  Today I have a step-by-step tutorial to share with you using the June Main Kit! I absolutely love the colors and patterns in the Family & Co. collection featured in this kit.

I started my layout off by drawing three triangles in multiple sizes onto some white cardstock.

Next, I use a craft knife to cut the insides of the triangles out to create the design below.

I then selected my patterned papers, cutting both at 9 x 4 inches and adhering in a staggering design onto my 12x12 base.

Next, I added the larger triangle and placing it horizontally across the patterned papers.

I placed the smaller triangle horizontally with the larger one and the other I placed vertically.

Next, I created a 3/4" circle with some machine stitching and then adhered my photos with some foam tape underneath to give it some extra dimension.  To the far left side of my layout I added a thin strip of the Love at Home patterned paper-reverse side.

Next, embellishments. I added a few of the chipboard and puffy stickers atop the stitch 3/4" circle and place some label stickers from Jillibean Soup here and there for extra interest.

I used one of the phrase from the die cut ephemera pack, along with a puffy heart sticker to created my title.

A few paint splashes and this page was finish!

I hope I inspired you to create something beautiful ...

Play All Day Every Day | My Creative Scrapbbook

Hi my scrapping friends!

Today I'm back to share my first layout using My Creative Scrapbook gorgeous June main kit. This kit is absolutely amazing with so many beautiful colors and corresponding embellishments!

I documented a photo of my son have a great time fishing at the lake last summer.

I started by selection my patterned papers, cutting one on the diagonally and adhere to the other with some machine stitching.

I created a cluster of embellishments on the bottom right hand corner of the photo that include a few pieces from the Family & Co ephemera pack and a chipboard sticker.

I added some layers of patterned paper to create a matt for my photo and then added some foam tape underneath to give it some extra height and dimension.  On the left side of the photo I used the twine (included in the main kit) which added some more texture to the page.

Next, I used a paper punch to create a few diamonds and adhered with some machine stitching. I love the added interest this created.

I finished the layout off  by adding some puffy stickers and along with a few paint splashes around the page.

I hope you felt inspired today! If you are not a subscriber yet, give it a try.  The kits are all so beautiful and you will not regret it!

Take Me Away | Just Nick Studio and Pagemaps

Hi Scrapping Friends!

Today I'm back with you and I am excited to share my layout that I created for the team up with Pagemaps!

I'm not a big fan of 12x12 double page layouts but I have to say I had a ton of fun using this amazing sketch by Becky Fleck.

I decided to use the cut files as my main source of embellishment to create my page.  I begin by selection one of the flowers from the Floral and Fauna cut file and cut several flowers using the Summer Fun collection from Echo Park into two different sizes.

Next I used the spray of small berries from the Sweater Weather cut file and cut this out of white cardstock.

The sketch is divided into three sections, so to create this I added the scalloped border cut from black cardstock using the Borders1 cut file.

Here are a couple of close-ups...

Creative Scrappers Sketch #307 | Fantastic

Hi my scrapping friends!

It's a new month and that means a new sketch here at Creative Scrappers!

Kristine created another fabulous sketch for us this month!

Here's my take on this month's sketch!

I used Echo Park - Summer Fun patterned paper collection to create this layout featuring a few photos of my son playing with plastic beads and using a Rubbermaid container as a hat!

Using the sketch as it was designed with one exception, I used two photos instead of three. I started by selection my pattern papers and using some machine stitching to adhere then to a 12x12 white cardstock.
I matted my photos using some solid cardstocks from Echo Park-Summer Fun collection, which coordinated perfectly with the patterned papers!

Here are a few close-ups of my page.

Our sponsor Altenew have an amazing selection of stamps and I just happen to have the Beautiful Day stamp & die set  in my collection.  I used the stamp set to create my embellishments for my page and added a few enamel dots.

How beautiful are these stamp flowers!
I added a strip of  journaling to my layout and this page was finish!
