It's All Downhill | My Creative Scrapbook-December Tutorial

Hi My Creative Scrapbook friends! Today I have a new layout to share using this months gorgeous main kit. This kit is perfect for documenting any of your holiday or winter memories and I decided to document this fun photo of my son, sledding!

I started by cutting out three squares from some white cardstock. The squares can be any size you choose to work with....larger or smaller....it's really depends on the size of your photo. My squares are all 4 1/2 inches.

I then drew another square onto the white cardstock, leaving a 1/4 inch edge and cut the inside square out to create a frame.

Here's a look at the frames created from the cardstock. ↴

Next, I selected one of the beautiful patterned paper in the Simple Stories 'Simple Vintage Christmas' collection and use it to create another square (9").  Once I was happy with the placement of the frames, I used my sewing machine to add some stitching around the outside of each of the white cardstock frames.

The white cardstock frames was then glued, to fit inside of the framed stitching.  I then adhered a piece of black cardstock (slightly larger than the pattern paper) to the back and use a scissors to create a scallop edge all around the perimeter and really love how this turn out!

I love the beautiful black & white text and plaid patterned papers in the 'Simple Vintage Christmas' collection and instead of using the boring white cardstock as my background I decided to use both the text and plaid paper to create a bit more interest and place them on an angle.

I used some of chipboard stickers from Echo Park as well as a few stickers from Simple Stories 'Simple Vintage Christmas' collection to create a cluster in the bottom right hand corner of the photo.

A cut file was use to create a title for my page.

....and here are a couple of close-ups...

To finish the layout off I added a few more chipboard accent stickers around the page.

I hope you felt inspired today and if you're not a subscriber yet, give it a try. The kits are all so beautiful and you will not regret it!!!!

Best Ever | My Creative Scrapbook - November Tutorial

Hi My Creative Scrapbook friends! I'm back today with a Pinterest inspired project using this month's Main Kit

I love the overall cool reco design and decided to use it as an inspiration to design my page.

With all the gorgeous pattern paper found in the 'Along the Way' collection, it was very difficult to select which ones I wanted to use for my circles. I decided to go with one floral and two of the polkadots papers as well as a solid blue cardstock.

Next, I added some paint splatters to my background by select a few different Dylusions Ink Spray to match the colors in the floral pattern paper and applied with a small paint brush.

I arranged the circles along the right hand side of the page starting at top and working my way down to the bottom.

Keeping with the design, I added a couple of black cardstock strips down the center of my circles and love the extra detail this create.

Now it was time to start adding my embellishments. First, I matted my photo with one of the pattern paper found in this months main kit and adhered it down with some foam tape. Next, I created a small cluster of embellishments to the bottom left hand corner of the photo that includes a couple of 'Along the Way' Ephemera pieces as well as a die-cut.

Under the top edge of my photo I tucked an icon die-cut and a tag.

I added my title down the left hand side of my page using the beautiful gold foil chipboard stickers also include in this months main kit and finished the layout off with a couple more die-cut pieces.

I hope you felt inspired today and if you're not a subscriber yet, give it a try. The kits are all so beautiful and you will not regret it!!!!

Artist At Work | Paper House Productions-Glue Dots Adhesives Team-up

Hi Paper House fans! All this week Paper House is teaming up with Glue Dots Adhesives ...for my page I use both the Mini Glue Dots and Permanent Glue Tape.

I started my layout off with a starburst cut file from The Cut Shoppe, the background cut file was cut from white cardstock and then, I used the beautiful prisms pattern paper  from the 'Color Washed' paper pad to back it. The Permanent Glue Tape adhesive from Glue Dots was then use to adhere the cut file and the pattern paper together.

I wanted to create a bit more texture to my background and decided to use embroidery floss to create a string art design. The mini glue dots from Glue Dots was great to use as a way of attaching the floss to my cardstock.

Next, I created some layers behind my photo using pattern paper from both the 'Little Man' and 'Color Washed' paper pad. The Art Class 3D stickers was use to create a title for my page and also as an embellishment.

To the bottom of my photo, I added a few die-cut stars and use the mini dots to adhered them to my photo. I finished the page off with some ink splatters and really love how this turned out!

Thanks for stopping by today! I hope I inspired you to create something beautiful using your Paper House products as well as Glue Dots Adhesives

To the banner, I added one of the cut apart journaling card and adhered it down with some foam tape.

Fun with Squares | My Creative Scrapbook - October Tutorial

Hi My Creative Scrapbook Friends! Today I am super excited to share two of my projects I created using squares and the gorgeous October main kit. So are you ready to have some fun with squares!!!
Okay, let's get started :)

For my first page, I picked several square punches in different sizes and cut out multiple squares from a variety of patterned papers.

I played around with the squares for a bit, until I found the design I love. I decided to arranged all of the squares down the left hand side and along the bottom of my page to create a large L. I attached them to the background using both glue and foam adhesive.

Next, I added my photos.

For the title I used a combination of foam letter stickers found in this month's main kit and one of the chipboard stickers from the 'Forever Fall' collection. Just a few embellishments as well as some paint splatter were need to complete this layout.

Now for my second project.....

For this page a 2x2 inch paper punch was used to create my squares.

For my background I chose the 'Be Grateful' (denim look) patterned paper. Next, I drew a 7 1/2 inch circle which act as a guideline for me to follow. I started arranging the squares to slightly overlap one another and then finish off with some machine stitching.

I created a pretty cluster of embellishments on the bottom right hand corner of the photo.  The cluster includes a few fussy cut flowers, stickers and a couple of buttons.

I matted my photo with one of the cut apart pieces from the 3x4 Elements patterned paper and on the left side of the photo I added one of the die-cut label found in the Ephemera Bits and Pieces 'Forever Fall' collection.

I added my title using the foil foam letter stickers found in this month's main kit and use a marker to change it from gold to black which worked so much better for my page.

I finished the layout off by adding a bow made from the burlap ribbon also included in this month's main kit and some more white paint splatters.

I hope you felt inspired today and if you're not a subscriber yet, give it a try. The kits are all so beautiful and you will not regret it!!!!
