Love To Craft | Stuck?!Sketches January 15th Sketch Challenge

Hi My Scrapping Friends!!!

It's time for the lastest sketch challenge at Stuck?!Sketches!  Here's the fabulous sketch designed by Laura Whitaker for the January 15th challenge!

I love this design, with all the many layers of patterned paper behind the photos...so I decided to create a page about my love for this fabulous hobby!

Here's my take on the sketch, using Echo Park Paper * I'd Rather Be Crafting* collection.

As you can tell I had lots of fun layering up all the beautiful patterned papers in this collection to create a background base for my photo.

I replace one of the photos with a 4x4 journaling card, added a sticker from the collection as well as a couple of die-cut stitched flowers from MFT to complete this cluster.

To the left side of my photo I added a flower sticker and to create a bit more interest I place one of the die-cut flower on top. I also added a couple more of those cute crafting stickers to complete this part of the page .

I used a plate and a black ink marker to create my circles for my background.  Here you can see I also added a few more die-cut flowers, as well as a couple of stickers to create some various height in this cluster.

I combined a wood veneer word from my stash and the craft sticker to create a title.

I really enjoy using this sketch and creating with all the beautiful layers!

With You I'm Home | My Creative Scrapbbok

Hi My Scrapping Friends!!!

Today I have another layout created for My Creative Scrapbook using the beautiful January Main Kit!

I started with the *Let's Stay Home* patterned paper as a base for my layout. I then added a 4x12 strip of the reverse side of the *Keep Life Happy* down the middle of the page, as well as a few thin strips of pattern paper and cardstock tucked underneath both sides.

I created a few circles in two different sizes using the gorgeous patterned paper in this month's kit. After playing around with the many different idea on where to place my circles, I decided on tucking them underneath the middle strip of pattern paper on both side in a cluster of three.

Next, I added my embellishments. I used some chipboards, die cuts, stickers, as well as a fussy cut flower and arrange them diagonally.

To finish the layout, I added some sentiments stickers and enamel dots.

Thanks for stopping by :) xx

I hope you felt inspired today and if you're not a subscriber yet, give it a try. The kits are all so beautiful and you will not regret it!!!!

Amazing | My Creative Scrapbook | January Tutorial

Happy New Year, My Creative Scrapbook Fans!  For today layout I decided to use the flowers from the Jillibean Soup stamp sets to create some DIY embellishments.

I started by collecting all of my supplies...white cardstock, scissors, ink pads etc.

Next, I stamped the flower and leaf images a few times onto a piece of white cardstock using a few different colors.

Once everything was stamped I took one of my favorite craft scissors and started fussy cutting all of the stamps images, making sure to leave a white border around the outside.

I then started building a series of layers using the gorgeous patterned papers from the *Welcome Home* collection, along with some cardstock. Below you will find a few close-ups photos showing you the layering process.

I started playing around with the placement of my photos and came up with the idea of creating a pocket.  I love the added texture and interest this create, as will as a place to hold my photos.

On the lower left side of the pocket I created a cluster with the stamped flowers along with a *Welcome Home* chipboard piece and a wood veneer from Jillibean Soup (included in this month's main kit).

I used some of the Alphabet foam stickers to create a title and added a few more stamped flowers to the top right and left area of my title.

I really hope you enjoyed this tutorial and got you inspired to create your own embellishments using your stamp sets.

Thank you of stopping by :) Yvette xx

Let's Celebrate | Stuck?!Sketches January 1st Sketch Challenge

Hello my scrapping friends! First of all, Happy New Year! I'm So excited to see what crafting adventent 2018 have in store for me!

It's time for a new challenge at Stuck?!Sketches! Let's take a look at the awesome sketch that Laura has designed for us.

And here's my take on the sketch...

I combine multiple Jillibean Soup collections from my stash to document some fun New Year's Eve memories.

To the top of the page I added several hand stitched lines on the diagonal. Next, I selected the patterned papers I wanted to use and decided to use my Big Shot machine to create squares in two different sizes.

I couldn't resist using this film strip cut file I found in the Silhouette shop to back my photos, before adhering it down with foam adhesive.

I created a cluster to the bottom left hand corner of the photo strip by laying a few die cuts, tag, and a tiny button.  I love the idea of combining the celebrate from the Jillibean Soup Rock Star stamp sets along with a few alpha stickers to create my title.

I created another point of interest on the page by tucking a die cut doily underneath the top right of the photo strip, as well as a die cut arrow and a couple of puffy stickers.

Some phase stickers, along with a few enamel dots finished the layout.

Thanks for stopping by:) xx
