Loved This | Just Nick Studio

Hi My Scrapping Friends!

This week on Just Nick Studio it's all about Spring and with so many beautiful Spring themed cut files to choose from I finally decided on these three the Posie SwagBirds of A Feather and Lotus Lace .

I started off by cutting the posie swag cut file, using both patterned paper and a light gray cardstock. I then glued the two pieces together in the center and added a rose embellishment on top. I love the slight shadowing effect this creates.

Once I started adding my layers, I decided the area where the white cardstock shown through needed a bit of texture without adding any more color and here's where I added the Lotus Lace cut file using white cardstock.

I finished the page off by adding these adorable birds from the Birds of a Feather cut file, along with my title and a few embellishments pieces.

Be You | Just Nick Studio

Hi My Scrapping Friends!

Today I am sharing a fun and colorful project for Just Nick Studio that I created using one of the amazing new background cut files!

I recently purchased the Amy Tangerine-On A Whim collection and decide to use it to create this layout which features a couple of photos of Max having fun on vacation!

Here is a look at the cut files I used...

I cut the Funky Rectangle Background from white cardstock, but instead of backing it with multiple pattern paper, I decided to add some spray ink. I apply some misting along with a few splatters of paint onto a white cardstock to create this colorful backing for my cut file.

Here you can see a close-up of how I embellished around my photos, using some of the fun die-cut shapes from Amy Tangerine-On A Whim collection.
I added another cut file Leaves 3 in vellum, which I tucked underneath and around the top photo.

I finished the layout off by adding my journaling and then placing a few enamel dots around the page.

Thanks for stopping by :)

I hope I inspired you to create something beautiful using Just Nick Cut Files!

My Creative Scrapbook | Hello Home-March sketch

Hi My Scrapping Friends!

It's time for a new sketch challenge over at My Creative Sketches

Here's what I created using both the March Main Kit along with the sketch.

March Sketch!
No automatic alt text available.
I love how this layout came together, I used the spring like patterns & colors in this kit to created a winter page.

Here are a some close-ups of my layout....

I used the accent stickers on top of my 2 1/2 ins squares and added some pen stitching around the edges.

I used some of the gorgeous puffy stickers and ephemera pieces from the Pebbles-simple life collection to created a small cluster underneath and to the lower left corner of my photo.

To the lower right of the photo I used a couple phrases from the foil stickers on top my photo, and added some of the puffy sticker underneath to created another small cluster.

For my title I combined a foil phrase Hello with the Home puffy sticker and outline the word home with a black marker.

I finished the layout off by adding some black Heidi shine.

Serious Gamer | My Creative Scrapbook | March Main Kit

Hi My Scrapping Friends!

Today I'm back with you to share another layout I created using the March Main Kit from My Creative Scrapbook!  This month's main kit is packed with lots of Pebbles-Simple Life Collection by Jen Hadfield.

For this page I challenge myself to use this month's kit to create a layout that features my son playing x-box in his game room! I started by cutting out several circles in a few different sizes, and added machine stitching around the edges.

I combined a few strips of patterned papers with the foil phrase stickers behind the circles and machine stitched through them for some added texture.

Here are a few close-ups....

I used some of the beautiful ephemera pieces, along with a few of the accent stickers from the Simple Life collections to layer underneath and around my photos.

I added a small cluster of embellishments to the bottom circle with this cute bird house from the ephemera pack and tucked a lemon slice underneath for a bit of color!  I love how I made this collection work to created this boy's page....:)))

I used the Pink Paislee Memorandum stickers to create my title and to add a little more detail to my  page I used Jim Holtz splatter stencil, with some brown distress ink in a few places.

I hope I inspired you to create something beautiful....

You Are My Greatest Adventure | My Creative Scrapbook- March Tutorial

Hi My Scrapping Friends!

For my tutorial today I decided to use the Heidi Swapp stamp and stencil set which came in this month's main kit.

Here's a look at the layout I created using the stamp and stencil!

Here are the supplies I used to create my background:
-------
Memento Tuxedo Black ink
The Heidi Swapp stamp & stencil from March main kit
Heidi Swapp medallic texture paste
Plastic spatula
Stamping Block

I started with a 12x12 sheet of white cardstock and cutting it to the size of 11x11.

Using the Memento in tuxedo black, I stamped the Heidi Swapp phrase in a half circle which created a pattern going from the bottom of the page and up the left side.

Next I took the stencil and use some washi tape to mask off only the areas I wanted to use.

I then apply the Metallic texture paste using a plastic spatula on top of the stamped area, following the same half circle design.

Before I fussy cut the butterflies out and while I were waiting for the paste to dry, I colored in some of the butterflies using Memento markers and Copic Atyou Spica glitter pens.

Here are some close-ups of my layout...

Here you can see I back the white cardstock with a woodgrain 12x12 patterned paper and added  hand stitching all around the edges. I love the added texture and interest this create.

I hope I inspired you to create some beautiful....

My Creative Scrapbook | Hello Sunshine

Hi My Scrapping Friends!

Today I'm back with you to share my first layout using the March main kit from My Creative Scrapbook!

This was such a great kit to document a photo of Max on his big boy's bike!  I used the bike ride patterned paper for the lower half, cut a couple strips of pattern papers and machine stitched to the top where it meets the cardstock.

Here are some close-ups...
I combined an arrow and this cute chicken die cut with one of the puffy sticker from the Simple Life collection as the title for my layout.

I used several pieces of die cut from the Simple Life collection to the top of my page and added foam dots underneath to give it some extra dimension.
I created a small cluster to the bottom left hand corner of my photo using more of the gorgeous embellishments in this month's main kit!

I hope I inspired you to create something beautiful ....

Creative Scrappers Sketch # 304 | Capture Memories

Hi My Scrapping Friends!

I cannot believe it's already March.....that means it's time for a new sketch at Creative Scrappers

The collection I used for this page is from Dear Lizzy and is called-Lovely Day. The 6x6 paper pad were perfect for this sketch, it was just the right size to document these photos of my son having such a great time coloring eggs.

Here's the layout I created using this month sketch!

Here's sketch # 304....

I stayed pretty close to the sketch, but instead of three small photos I created a small collage using four photos and then added some layers of patterned paper behind the photo.

Here are a few close-ups...

I added machine stitching around the edges of each of the 6x6 pattern paper, and started adding my embellishments.

I tucked a couple of glassine bags along with a tag underneath one of the layers, added several wood veneer stars from Studio Calico around my page and used this chipboard phrase from Crate Paper -Gather collection, along with a puffy sticker from Cocoa Vanilla Studio -Love Always collection to create my title.
