Winter Fun | JustNick Studio

Hello friends! It's Yvette with you today. I wanted to create a winter scene using cut files, so I did a search through the JustNick store and found two older cut files that I love...SNOWMAN 2 & the WINTER FRAME

 Here's a look at what I created...

I just received my December kit from HKC and really love the color palette, it had that Winter wonderland feel/look which would work perfectly for what I had in mind, for this layout. I cut both of the cut files from white cardstock and used the beautiful HOME KNITS and ICY MISTLETOE patterned papers from the BIG CHILL collection to back the SNOWMAN 2

I added color to the WINTER FRAME using three different shades of gray.

Once I was happy with the cut files placement, I adhered them to my background paper (FAVORITE PJ's) using liquid glue and foam tape.

With my photo in place, I crumpled up some white tissue paper and add it around the bottom of the wreath, to create the look of snow. Embellish with a few die cuts pieces, as well as a few puffy stickers from the BIG CHILL collection and this page was finish.

December Traditions | JustNick Studio-12 Days of Giveaways

Hello friends! It's Yvette here with you today, and welcome to day 7 of the 12 days of giveaways. Today's freebie is the Holiday Wreath and I know you're going to have lots of fun creating with it!

Here's a look at what I created...

I wanted my wreath to have a few layers, so the first thing I did was to cut the Holiday Wreath out three times, in three different sizes.  A different piece of patterned paper were used for each of the wreath image.

I attached the middle section of all three wreaths and then adhered it to my background paper. Once the cut files were in place, splashes of brown and blue watercolors were then added.

I kept the embellishments to the bottom section of the wreath, so not to distract away from the beautiful wreath layers. A chipboard frame was added to my photo, and another two were placed on the right and left of it. Floral die-cuts and a couple of chipboard phrases (one as my title) was added as one large cluster around my photo. I also added two strips of patterned paper, with the edges distressed, to the top of the layout. I love the added texture and balance this created.

Hip Kit Club...Wish Season collection were used on this page...

That Look | JustNick Studio

Hello, JustNick friends!  It's Yvette back with you today to share a brand new layout that I created using two of JustNick's beautiful cut files...the 'Floral Bundle' and the 'Leafy Swag 2'

 Here's a look at what I created...

'That Look' all started with me trying to get our dog Titan to look at me, so I can take his picture. He just didn't want to be photographed and refused to look at the camera. After a few minutes of trying and just about to give up, he suddenly turned his head and gave me that look...PRICELESS:))))

Both of the cut files were cut from white cardstock. The 'Leafy Swag 2' cut file were backed with pattern paper from Pinkfresh Studio 'The Best Day' collection and the 'Floral Bundle' cut file were backed with Pinkfresh Studio 'Holiday Magic' collection. Once I had both of the cut files backed, I adhered them to my background using foam tape adhesive.

To my background, I added some torn strips of paper and some watercolor paint.

Once I had the cut files arrange exactly where I wanted them, I decided to cut the extra pieces off the 'Floral Bundle' cut file, and just keep only the three large center flowers. Which I end up loving.

My photo was backed with a few pieces of Pinkfresh Studio 'Holiday Magic' pattern paper and then placed on the right side of the cut files.

The beautiful flower clusters on Pinkfresh Studio Hydrangea and Rose Washi Tape were used to embellish the area behind the 'Floral Bundle' cut file, a few were placed around the photo and a small cluster was also added to the bottom of the layout.

To finish my page, I added some gold sequin to the center of the cut file flowers and then added my title.

I hope you like my layout today and it has inspired you to create your own. Don't forget to check out all the amazing cut files available in the JustNick shop!

This Story | JustNick Studio

Hello, JustNick fans! It's Yvette here, and I'm back with a new layout to share. For today project I used the beautiful new 'Fall Pumpkin' cut file which is now available in the JustNick shop.

Here's a look at what I created....

I wanted the 'Fall Pumpkin' cut file to be the main focal point on my page, so I enlarged it to fill a large portion of my 12x12 background. I then cut the 'Fall Pumpkin' cut file from white cardstock and backed it using exclusive patterned papers from the Hip Kit Club October main kit.

Before adhering my cut file down, I cut the exclusive pattern paper Favorite Jumper (the reverse side) on the diagonal and add it to the left side of my layout. In the opposite corner I added some paint spatter using watercolors in shades of gray and orange.

Fussy cut some of the flowers and leaves found on the Pumpkin Spice and Harvest Wishes exclusive patterned papers, to add in clusters around my layout.

To complete my page I added few clear enamel dots and a chipboard phase, which was used to create a title for my layout.

I hope you like my layout today and it has inspired you to create your own. Don't forget to check out all the amazing cut files available in the JustNick shop!

Hello friends! Yvette here, and today I'm sharing a Halloween-themed layout with you. They're so many fun Halloween-themed cut files in the store to choose from, but in the end I decided on two of the newer ones....'Happy Halloween 3' and 'Halloween Icons 3'.

I started my layout off by cutting the 'Happy Halloween 3' cut file from white cardstock three time and instead of using patterned papers from a tradition Halloween collection to backed it. I went with Vicki Boutin fun and colorful Color Study collection.

Next, I wanted to create a mixed media background, but after a few attempts and just wasn't happy with any of them, I decided to use one of Vicki Boutin ready-to-use mixed media paper. I then adhered the 'Happy Halloween 3' cut file to the bottom half of my layout using foam tape, give it some added height and dimension.

Once I had my photo in place I added a few die-cuts pieces from the Color Study collection to the back of it.

To complete my page I added the bats found in the 'Halloween Icons 3' cut file around the layout, which I cut from black cardstock.

Fall | JustNick Studio

Hello friends! Yvette here with a Fall-themed layout using the beautiful new 'Leafy Fall' cut file and the 'Leaves 5' cut file from JustNick Studio.

Here's what I created....

I started by cutting both of the cut files out of white cardstock. For the 'Leafy Fall' cut file I used patterned papers from Pinkfresh Days of Splendor collection to back some of the opening. I wanted a grungy look for the 'Leaves 5' cut file, so I simply added some watercolor paint in black and brown to each of the leaves.

I adhered the 'Leafy Fall' cut file down (which works great as a title for my page) with foam tape to give it dimension and layered my photo with a few pieces of patterned papers from the Days of Splendor collection.

I used the 'Leaves 5' with some of Pinkfresh Days of Splendor embellishments to create clusters around my title.

I arrange several chipboard fairs down the left side of my photo also from the Days of Splendor collection.

To complete my layout I added some stamping and framed my page using the Oh So Delightful pattern paper, by cutting out the inside section from it.

I hope you like my layout today and it has inspired you to create your own. Don't forget to check out all the amazing cut files available in the JustNick shop!

Happy | JustNick Studio

Hello friends! I'm back with you today, to share a new layout for JustNick Studio. I fell in love with the new 'Leaf Border' cut file and couldn't resist using it to document this fun selfies that I took of my son and I, just before he left to see his friends!

I started my layout off by cutting the 'Leaf Border' on white cardstock and backing it with patterned paper. Next, I chose a few pieces of pattern paper from Pinkfresh Studio 'The Best Day' collection, and cut then into strips in variety widths and lengths. Machine stitching was also added to each of the paper strips.

Before gluing the paper strips and cut file down, I created a fun and colorful background with watercolor paint splatters and loved the end results.

I used both patterned paper and white tissue paper to create some layers behind my photo.

Embellish with a few fussy cut leaf sprigs, a flower die-cut, as well as a few cardstock stickers from the 'The Best Day' collection.

Lastly, I added a few leaves from the 'Latte Love' cut file, cut from white cardstock and then placed those around my layout.

I hope you like my layout today and it has inspired you to create your own. Don't forget to check out all the amazing cut files available in the JustNick shop!

You Are.... | JustNick Studio

Hello friends! It's Yvette with you today, and I have another layout to share. For this layout, I used the awesome Radiating Background as well as the You Are... phrase cut files from the JustNick shop.

Today, I am documenting this photo of my son, which were taken on his Birthday last year.

I started by cutting the Radiating Background cut file out of white cardstock, and then backed it using the Color Wheel patterned paper from Vicki Boutin Color Study collection. Next, I added machine stitching to the Radiating cut file, and knowing that I wanted to use the You Are...cut file as my title, I adhered it off-center. I then added the excess that were trimmed off in the bottom left corner.

The You Are....cut file was cut from white cardstock and then colored in, using ink pads in shades of black and brown.

My photo was backed with some white tissue paper and adhered to the center of the Radiating Background cut file.

To finish my page I added die-cut pieces and foam stickers in and around my photo and title.

I hope you like my layout today and it has inspired you to create your own. Don't forget to check out all the amazing cut files available in the JustNick shop!
