My Creative Scrapbook | Happy Lazy Summer Days | July Tutorial

Hi My Creative Scrapbook Fans!  For my tutorial this month, I decided to use a die-cut circle set to create a super awesome background for the upper portion of my layout.

I begin by using my Sizzix Big Shot to die cut several circles in various sizes.  Next, I applied pool mid-tone and soft pool shadow inks to the outer edges of each circles, use a blending tool starting with the lightest to darkest.

A Soft Yellow shadow ink was applied to the smaller circles.

Next, I added the splish splash pattern paper to the lower half of the page and once all the circles were positioned as I like them, I added a 2 inch strip of pattern paper across the middle of the layout.

At this point I trim the excess circles and added some machine stitching around the perimeter.
Next, I layered some of the die-cut frames from the Summer Bucket List ephemera pack underneath my photo and love the added interest this creates.

I created a cluster of embellishments on the bottom right hand corner of the photo that includes one of the Summer Bucket list die cut, a few Summer Days chipboard stickers and a couple of  bits & pieces.

I used one of the phase as well as the happy banner from the Summer Days cardstock stickers to create my title and later decided the area around the title needed a bit more detail so I added a few more stickers.

The cloud and sun sticker were a perfect addition to the top left hand side of my photo, along with  some journaling strips. I really love the selection of embellishments and patterned papers in this kit,  it made it so easy to document my summer photos !

I  finished my layout off by adding my journaling.
Thanks for stopping by :) xx

A Camping I Will Go | Creative Scrappers Sketch #308

Hi My Scrapping Friends!

It's my turn to show you what I created using Creative Scrappers July sketch #308!
Here's the fabulous sketch that Kristine Davidson design.

Here's my take on this month's sketch...

I used Photoplay-Summer Bucket List collection to created most of this layout featuring a couple of photos of Max's leaving for his first day of Summer camp.

I started by layering my patterned papers using the sketch as my guide, I then decided to add some vellum to the top half of my page and added some machine stitching around the perimeter.

I matted my photos and then tucked a couple of journaling tag underneath the right hand side of my top photo and also placed a few stickers on top.

I then cut out these awesome compasses using a cut file I found at the Silhouette store from some black cardstock and added a button to one and a star sticker to the other.

I combined some thickers Alpha, along with some Jillibean Soup label stickers to create my title and couldn't resist adding the log fire and the marshmallows on the stick stickers around my title.

Next, I added a small cluster to the top left hand corner which included a few stickers, some enamels dots and a cork star.  I also tuck a tag underneath the pattern paper and added some words stickers on top.

I hope I inspired you to created something beautiful!
Thanks for stopping by :) xx Yvette

Chill Have Fun | My Creative Scrapbook-July Main Kit

Hi My Scrapping Friends!

Today I'm sharing a layout I created using the July Main Kit from My Creative Scrapbook!
Such a fabulous summer kit!

I documented a couple of photos of Max enjoying Ice-Cream time on vacation and some days before the Ice-Cream shop would open you can find both my husband and son already on line :)))

I added a strip of the Hello Sunshine across the middle of the layout, then added machine stitching around the layout perimeter and down both edges of the pattern paper strip.

Next, I splatters some blue paint around the page and really love how this play off the blue from my son's swimsuit.
I then decided to go with a diagonal design which created a fun way to use many of the Summer Days bits & pieces and stickers circles.

For my title, I used a combination of  Simple Stories-Summer Days sticker, Jillibean Soup Alphas and a die cut from Photoplay-Summer Bucket List collection.

I finished the layout off with a few smaller sticker and my journaling.

Thanks for stopping by :) xx

Fun In The Sun | My Creative Scrapbook...July Main Kit

Hi My Scrapping Friends!

I'm here today to share my first layout using the fabulous July Main Kit from My Creative Scrapbook!

"Lot's of fabulous goodies" from Simple Stories...Summer Days Collection!

For this page I used the June FREE Summer cut file set. The Summer cut file set were perfect to document this photo taking on a family vacation to Atlantis in the Bahamas.

I decided to use the palm tree, the sun & clouds image and a couple of the words.  I enlarge the palm tree so I can make it a focal point on my layout and cut it from both patterned paper and brown cardstock, I love the shadowing this creates without adding foam tape.  Next, I cut two of the clouds image from some white cardstock and arrange then on my page.

For the bottom of my page I did some paper tearing using a blue to represent water and the other for the sand.

Here you see I created a cluster using a few bits and pieces from the Summer Days collection.

I finished off my layout by adding my title using a couple of words from the cut file, along with some alpha stickers.
Thanks for stopping by:)))) xx
