Hi, My Creative Scrapbook fans!  Today I have a Quilt - Inspired layout to share with you. Here's the layout I created....

I choose a Quilt image I found on Pinterest, as my inspiration, and used it to create a string art background for this layout.

Step 1:  I started by using a large plate as a template to draw a circle.

Step 2:  Fussy cut the small triangles from patterned paper 24.

Step 3:  Using the circle as a guide, I glued the triangles in place by slightly overlapping each one, until the circle was completed.

Step 4:  Punched the holes using a paper piercer, one in the center of the circle and the others, along the inside area of the triangles were I have the arrows indicate in the photo above. Starting from the center for the circle with your floss/thread and then over to the opposite side. Continuing with this process until the entire inside of the circle is covered.

Step 5:  Create a second circle of fussy cut triangles, and repeat the same process from step 4.  Once this was finish I felt like something was missing, so I decided to add some back stitching around the perimeter before adhered it to the larger circle.

Step 6:  At this point I added my photo and title.

Once my title and photo were in place, I created a couple clusters of layered embellishments using the beautiful floral die cuts, as well as a few fussy cut pieces. Some of the embellishments were added with foam tape to create extra dimension.

MY Creative Scrapbook-October Projects

Here's this months projects, using the October Main Kit!

A quick summary of the products found in this month's main kit.....patterned paper from Pink Paislee 'Truly Grateful' collection...this collection is absolutely stunning, with such a beautiful range of colors and designs (great for fussy cutting) it's sure to be a favorite!  Also included in the main kit, 'Truly Grateful' cardstock stickers with matte copper foil accents, both the floral and matted copper foil accents ephemera packs, the puffy phrase and accent stickers and a stencil.

Here's my projects and a few close-ups...

I used white cardstock to cut the Leaf Heart cut file three times and then glued them together, I love the added dimension and shadow this create on my page. I used the patterned paper 8 with it's beautiful rainbow of colors to back the leaves. The beautiful pink brushstroke pattern paper 15 were perfect to use as my background, also some hand stitching was added to create the other half of the heart.

Add a couple layers of patterned paper and a tag behind the photo.

Fussy cut leaves and butterflies were added to the floral die cuts to create two clusters.  I also used foam tape to add some dimension and bent and folder the edges a bit.

One of the puffy sticker and a die cut was used to create a title for my page.

Autumn...

Autumn cut file...

I used the Autumn cut file to create a large title of my page. Cut it from some white cardstock and back it with paper 19.

To the bottom half of my layout, I added the colorful plaid pattern paper 2 and cut it on an angle.

Place my photos overlapping each other with a few layers of patterned paper from the Truly Grateful collection and then I began adding my embellishments.

Sunshine...

I started by using the stencil from this months main kit and some charcoal ink to create my background.

The beautiful paper 8 were cut into four triangles, added some machine stitching down the middle and the edges were them distressed.

I layered a few different pieces of distress patterned papers from the Truly Grateful collection, going both horizontally and vertically and then I adhered my photo in place with some foam tape.

Next, using the beautiful 'Truly Grateful' die cuts and stickers found in the main kit to create a couple of clusters on my page.

Yes.....

For this page, the beautiful 'Truly Grateful' pattern papers, die cuts and stickers were used to add layers...both behind and on the sides of my photos.

Ink splatters added to some white cardstock to match the colors from the leaves in paper 23.

Puffy phrase thicker for my title.
