Winter Fun | JustNick Studio

 

Hello friends! It's Yvette with you today. I wanted to create a winter scene using cut files, so I did a search through the JustNick store and found two older cut files that I love...SNOWMAN 2 & the WINTER FRAME. 

 Here's a look at what I created... 

 I just received my December kit from HKC and really love the color palette, it had that Winter wonderland feel/look which would work perfectly for what I had in mind, for this layout. I cut both of the cut files from white cardstock and used the beautiful HOME KNITS and ICY MISTLETOE patterned papers from the BIG CHILL collection to back the SNOWMAN 2. 

 I added color to the WINTER FRAME using three different shades of gray. 

Once I was happy with the cut files placement, I adhered them to my background paper (FAVORITE PJ's) using liquid glue and foam tape. 

With my photo in place, I crumpled up some white tissue paper and add it around the bottom of the wreath, to create the look of snow. Embellish with a few die cuts pieces, as well as a few puffy stickers from the BIG CHILL collection and this page was finish.

December Traditions | JustNick Studio-12 Days of Giveaways

 

Hello friends! It's Yvette here with you today, and welcome to day 7 of the 12 days of giveaways. Today's freebie is the Holiday Wreath and I know you're going to have lots of fun creating with it!

Here's a look at what I created...

I wanted my wreath to have a few layers, so the first thing I did was to cut the Holiday Wreath out three times, in three different sizes.  A different piece of patterned paper were used for each of the wreath image.

I attached the middle section of all three wreaths and then adhered it to my background paper. Once the cut files were in place, splashes of brown and blue watercolors were then added.

      I kept the embellishments to the bottom section of the wreath, so not to distract away from the beautiful wreath layers. A chipboard frame was added to my photo, and another two were placed on the right and left of it. Floral die-cuts and a couple of chipboard phrases (one as my title) was added as one large cluster around my photo. I also added two strips of patterned paper, with the edges distressed, to the top of the layout. I love the added texture and balance this created.
