Paige Evans + Silhouette / Guest Designer

Hello, crafty friends!  I am super excited and honored to be guest designing for Paige this month! You can find me on Instagram, Facebook, Blog and Pinterest

Here are the projects I created using Paige's beautiful cut files, and her gorgeous collections

For my first project, I had these awesome photos of my son trying to skateboard and decided to use the Skateboard cut file and the beautiful Go The Scenic Route Collection to document this fun moment.

I resized the Skateboard cut file on my Silhouette to about 4 inches and cut it multiple times using paper 21. Next, I selected some of the beautiful border strips from paper 23 as well as the Skateboard cut files and arranged them diagonally onto a piece of 12x12 white cardstock. To create a bit more texture on my page, I simply distressed the edges of the border strips and then added some machine stitching. I couldn't help myself, I just had to add a cluster of fussy cut flowers from paper 18 to the bottom left corner of my photos and then used the Everyday Fun Cardstock Sticker as a title and place it in the center of the floral cluster. To finish, a smallest cluster was added to the top of the photos using a Cardstock Sticker, a Journal card  and a fussy cut butterfly.

Since my son is a big Lego fan, the Building Bricks cut file were perfect for my next page. I started by cutting the Building Bricks cut file from white cardstock and then selected several papers from Paige's Bloom Street collectionpaper 10, paper 2, paper 22paper 24 and paper 6  to back it. Machine stitching was added first to each of the cut files and then adhered to my background paper...paper 13 from Go the Scenic Route collection with foam tape.

With the awesome Building bricks cut file as the main focal point of my design, I decided to add my photo on the left side and slightly tucked it underneath the cut files.  A few small clusters of Bloom Street Stickers and die cuts was added around the page to create a wonderful overall balance.

My next project is featuring the gorgeous Flowers cut file and Paige's Go the Scenic Route collection. The Flowers cut file was cut from white cardstock and backed with paper 13, which was then adhered to the right side of my page using foam tape. With the beautiful paper 2 as my background paper, I decided to create a bit of a vertical interest with some machine stitching and the colorful puffy word stickers. Once, I had my photo exactly where I wanted it, I started to embellish by using a combination of cardstock and chipboard stickers. I also added a paper clip from Paige's Take Me Away collection in the upper left corner of the photo, as well as a couple of stapled die-cut tags.

For my fourth page, I wanted to create a beautiful winter layout, so I chose Paige's Holly Wreath cut file and her gorgeous Go the Scenic Route collection to document our very first holiday photo as a family. I started by cutting the Holly Wreath cut file from white cardstock and backed it with paper 10 and paper 6. I selected paper 4 as my background page and then, I decided to add a piece of vellum in the middle of the wreath, which soften the dark blue background paper.  The wreath cut file was then adhered to the center of my page using some foam tape. My title was added down the right side of my photo, using both the Go the Scenic Route colorful alpha thickers as well as a phrase sticker. To add a bit of holiday sparkle, the beautiful glitter Enamel stickers was added to the bow area. I then, fussy cut some of the smallest flowers from paper 18 and place them around the wreath.  I finished the layout off, with a few stitched, pieces of sentiments cut from paper 13 from the Bloom Street collection.

For my last project, I decided to create a couple of feel good cards! Everyone loves receiving a feel good card, sometimes it's just to cheer them up or simply to let them know that they're doing a great job!

For my first card, I decided to use a couple of Paige's cut files; the Folk Art Flower Frame, and the Awesome cut files. Both were cut from white cardstock. Next, I backed the Awesome cut file with paper 13 from the Go The Scenic Route collection. I used Paper 24 to create a background, which was then adhered onto my card base. Add the cut files, that cute bird sticker, a few pieces of bling and this card is finish!

For my second card I used the Stars cut file and the Go the Scenic Route collection. Resized the Stars cut file in my Silhouette Cameo and then cut it from white cardstock. Backed the cut file with paper 6 and used paper 17 as my card background.  A chipboard sticker from the Whimsical collection were perfect to used as a sentiment.

Thank you so much for stopping by today! It was a pleasure working with Paige's beautiful cut files and her gorgeous collections. I hope you like them!!!
